‘Fairytale Forest’ – the theme of Huppa’s winter collection

We slip between the trees into a secret place – a fairytale forest where even the snowflakes are colourful. Little princesses with their ponies guide us to meet the Mouse King and his court, living underneath a huge mushroom. The owl and swan fly by and startle the little princesses, but the mice tell them not to worry. “They are our friends,” they say.

The mice lead us deeper into the fairytale forest. The leaves of magic trees are gliding in the air, mingling with the snowflakes. We see the golden eagle and sneak past the bored watchmen. Finally, we reach the beautiful fairytale castle in the middle of the forest. There is a party in the castle and we are invited!

Huppa

The main goal of the Huppa children’s wear collection is to provide children with practical and safe products for outdoor activities. Huppa clothes are designed for safety. Retro-reflective elements are always an important design feature and our designs focus on making the child visible from every angle. The right materials ensure that our products are always practical. For outerwear, Huppa uses waterproof and breathable materials, and all of the main seams are taped. When determining product measurements, Huppa makes sure that there is enough room so that children feel comfortable playing outdoors. Huppa’s products are modern and fresh – perfect for the happy world of children.

The concept for the collection was inspired by a fairytale forest, and it involves more than a bit of magic. Just as Alice found a whole different world, a wonderland, under a rose bush, you too will find a fairytale forest behind the trees. To research the theme, the design team looked at illustrations in old fairytale books and tried to emulate the bright and clear colours of the pictures. The theme, a fairytale forest, is most prominent in the choice of colours, the styles and the reflective elements.

Huppa Babies

Huppa’s W2011 collection offers a brand new Huppa baby line in sizes 62–98 cm.

The Babies collection includes soft, cute overalls, jackets and matching pants. This is a multifunctional baby bag you can use around a car safety seat, covering your baby, or simple as a blanket.

The Babies collection boasts its own special patterns that depict a fairytale forest. Elements of the patterns are used for embroidery decorations and trims. From the breast pocket peeks a reflective baby bird, while the hoods are decorated with embroidered willow trees.

Another pattern in soft pastel tones is Huppa’s well-known classic – the Huppa Check pattern – in new modern shades.

The design and construction process paid special attention to babies’ everyday needs: sufficient space for nappies and time spent in the lying or sitting positions, and soft, breathing fabrics. The Huppa baby line’s colours have more pastel shades than the children’s patterns: for baby girls there is smoky pink and warm yellow; for baby boys, turquoise and forest green; and for both, navy blue, off-white and a chocolaty dark brown. You can combine items from Huppa’s Babies collection to form lovely snug sets that will protect your babies from the cold.

Huppa Kids

The Huppa children’s wear collection is divided into two groups: sizes 74–134 for babies and toddlers, and sizes 92–170 for older kids.

The theme of the babies’ and toddlers’ collection is a fairytale forest with many colourful leaves. In the collection for older children, the theme depicts the animals living in the forest and is designed with comic book influences.

The retro-reflective elements are shaped like tree leaves, to match the collection’s theme. The girls’ clothes feature decorative elements shaped like flowers and leaves. The colour scheme is based on fairytale colours – green, rainbow hues, orange, beige, brown, red, pink and navy blue.

The outerwear styles are made of soft material which is, of course, waterproof and breathable, and has a fine texture. The hoods, cuffs, flaps and legs provide protection against moisture. The hoods are fastened with snaps and can be easily detached. This also ensures that the hood will easily detach if it gets tangled or stuck during play. The pants have detachable and adjustable suspenders. The lining of the clothes has been designed for convenience – there are products with a warmer fleece lining for use in colder weather. Huppa designs practical children’s clothes with defined silhouettes and nice shapes. The needs and dressing habits of different age groups are taken into account in the design of different sizes. All of the products in the collection are modern, fresh and, at the same time, simple and convenient for today’s busy children.
